| Why Another Parenting Book? |
I’ve grown more and more convinced that effective business leaders and good parents use many of the same skills to bring out the best in others. Leaders are leaders whether in the presidential mansion, at the conference table, or around the kitchen table
Mom-in-Chief offers a unique look at parenting helping parents discover that when they claim their roles as leaders at home, they’re more effective with their children, feel better about themselves, and the whole family experiences more success and joy.
Over a decade ago, as a mother of then one young child, I had an epiphany upon returning home from work. After spending the day advising business leaders on matters including conflict management, motivating staff, and strategic goal setting, I found myself, once again, faced with a chaotic household and not much patience to spare. Just as I was about to melt into a heap of frustration, something clicked and I knew it was time to transform my battle-tested leadership tools into a parenting technique.
Mom-in-Chief addresses real quandaries and covers everything that smart career-oriented women need to know in order to fulfill their parenting potential and navigate challenges with skill and grace.
